Privacy Policy

This site, alive.vachiraphuket.com(the “Site”), is operated by ALIVE Wellness Clinic, a department of Vachira Phuket Hospital. For the purposes of the Thai Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA), Vachira Phuket Hospital is the data controller.

The Site is a marketing and information site. It does not require an account, accept payments, or operate a contact form. We collect only the data needed to deliver the Site to your browser and to keep it secure:

• Server logs. Standard diagnostic data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps, retained briefly for security and operational purposes.
• Cookies and similar technologies. A single first-party preference cookie (alive-cookie-consent) stores your consent choice. Third-party cookies set by Google Maps are loaded only after you accept (see section 5).
• Third-party embed data. When you choose to load the embedded map on /contact, Google receives your IP and browser information directly.

We process the data above to deliver the Site to your device, to keep it operating securely, to remember your cookie preference, and to display embedded content (currently only the Google Maps location pin) that you have opted in to. We do not use the data for advertising or for profiling you across other websites.

We rely on the following lawful bases under section 24 of the PDPA:

• Consent (section 19) for non-essential cookies and embedded third party content (Google Maps).
• Legitimate interest (section 24(5)) for server logs and security data, balanced against your right to privacy.

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. The Site uses cookies sparingly:

• Strictly necessary. alive-cookie-consent— remembers your consent choice so we don’t show the banner again. No personal data.
• Third-party (consent required). Google sets cookies such as NID and SOCS when the embedded map loads, governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

You can withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing the alive-cookie-consententry in your browser’s storage settings; the banner will reappear on your next visit.

We use a small number of trusted vendors to operate the Site:

• Cloudflare— hosts the Site, the API, and our content database (D1 and R2). Data is processed under Cloudflare’s DPA and stored in their APAC region.
• Google Maps — provides the embedded map on /contact. Loaded only after you consent.

We do not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or analytics tools.

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with the vendors named in section 6 to operate the Site, and only as required by law or to protect the safety of our patients, staff, or visitors.

Server logs are retained for a short period (typically up to 30 days) for security and diagnostics. The consent preference cookie is stored on your device until you clear it. Third-party cookies are governed by their respective providers.

You have the following rights under the PDPA (sections 30–37):

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data where lawful.
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Withdrawal of consent — withdraw any consent you previously gave.
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand.

We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes set by the PDPA.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
